Thanks for coming to my Team Lancealot JDRF donationpage. I ride for Lance. Lance is my son. He was diagnosed with Type 1 Diabetes when hewas just 2 years old. Now he is 10. Every day he must endure at least 4 fingerpricks to monitor his blood sugar. Hemust take four insulin shots per day. Every meal is a calculation of carbs and insulin ratio to maintain hisblood sugar at reasonable levels.
Having to endure this disease is terrible for anyone, but itis especially unfair for a child. Theyare robbed of so many of the simple joys of being a kid and running around, going anywhere, eating anything. I wantto wipe out this disease!
I am joining Texas Instruments’ team to ride a Century (100miles!) in the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation (JDRF) “Ride for theCure”. I will be riding in Death Valleyin October. Yes, I know, it will hot.Hopefully the Texas summer training will adequately prepare me. Please help me on my Quest for a Cure by donating to JDRF where they are researchingtreatments and cures that will help Lance within his lifetime. The donation is completely taxdeductible.
Thanks so much for your support,
